Cine-Information

Welcome to Oxford Cinema & Café

A century of cinema, freshly brewed.

Tucked away on Magdalen Street, our historic venue has been Oxford’s home for film since 1924. Reopened in 2025, The Oxford Cinema & Café blends vintage charm with a fresh focus on community, creativity, and comfort — offering everything from new releases to timeless classics, plus great coffee in our foyer café.

We know The Oxford doesn’t yet look its best — the building is a work in progress. But every penny you spend with us helps restore this beautiful 1920s cinema to its former glory. Our prices reflect where we are on that journey, and your support genuinely makes a difference.

Please note: due to the building’s original structure, wheelchair access is available in key areas (screen 1 and ground floor) but not throughout the entire venue, more information below.

Thank you for understanding — and for being part of something special.
